About the event
Our curated week of events is turning the traditional festival model on its head and features a blend of cooking classes, gourmet dinners, interactive workshops and conversations, and late-night events.
Bite Me AVL 2024 will bring together neighbors, foodies, chefs, makers, and industry folk. This jam-packed week promises not only a feast for the senses but also an opportunity for our community to engage in bold conversations and big experiences that highlight the food and culture of Asheville and foster creative approaches for a better future. We hope you will join us to daring greatly. Together, we can build a memorable event that serves the community and feeds the soul.
Ticket holders will have access to all keynote speakers, panel discussions, cooking classes, after-parties, and markets throughout the week. Festival tickets do not include dinner reservations. Find the schedule here - everything listed is included in your ticket.

Your FULL festival pass provides a gateway to an immersive experience. This ticket gets you dinner on Wednesday, brunch on Sunday, four nights of drinks at multiple events, and VIP treatment at two community events. PLUS, you get access to three cooking classes, two demos, and tasting at plēb and Eda Rhyne.

Connie and David 1:1
Connie Matisse, writer and co-founder of East Fork Pottery, and David Gate, a poet, writer, and visual artist, are teaming up for a laid-back chat about the magic of words. Connie's knack for storytelling has helped turn East Fork into a beloved brand, while David, originally from London and now living in Asheville, focuses on caring for individuals and nurturing communities through his art.

Dr. Cynthia and Hawa
These two James Beard award-winning legends will explore their unique journeys, the intersections of food, culture, and history, and the power of storytelling in bridging communities and preserving heritage.
